Collection: Hereke
There are many rug types produced in Turkey. One of the most prestigious rugs from Turkey is called Hereke. The high knot density antique rugs in which Hereke excelled, continued to be woven in late 20th century maintaining the original inspiration to perfection and detail. The finest materials are obtained and used including wool and cotton. Hereke rugs have a high knot density, and woven with fine quality wool on cotton warps and wefts. The number of knots per square centimeter is an important criterion in determining the quality and fineness of these rugs.
